Welcome to the 2019 Model ReModel East

Welcome to Pro Remodeler magazine’s 2019 Model ReModel. This is the fifth edition of this annual event, which follows a home remodeling project from design, permitting, and demolition to painting, touch-up, and punch out. Along the way we engage with the remodeling contractor’s design and production teams, as well as the trade contractors they’ve chosen to collaborate with.

And we work with our building product manufacturer partners to take a closer look best practices for specifying and installing a long list of innovative new building materials, devices, and equipment. The article, photos, and videos you’ll find here are a virtual master class for industry professionals at every experience level.

This year’s Model ReModel East project is one of two projects being undertaken simultaneously in 2019 (check out the West project here). Located in Rehoboth Beach, the project remodeler is Boardwalk Builders, a woman-owned custom home builder and remodeling firm that has been active along the Delaware shore for more than 30 years.

The project features a 650-square-foot beach cottage that will receive a full interior-exterior remodel, plus a one-story addition that will nearly double it in size. Plans include energy-saving options, universal design, and a contemporary light-filled aesthetic. We hope you’ll bookmark this site and follow along as we post multiple updates each week.
