WHAT IS THE MODEL REMODEL?
Located in Flagstaff, Arizona, Model ReModel West is one of two remodeling projects being detailed from concept to completion in 2019, the fifth year for Professional Remodeler’s program of start-to-finish online coverage of remodeling projects.
This mountain home is a 900-square-foot modified A-frame house that will nearly double in size after a full remodel and three additions. Plans include energy-saving options, multigenerational living, and resiliency, with an emphasis on creating workforce development opportunities throughout the remodeling process.
THE REMODELER
Bill Owens, Owens Construction
Owens Construction, established in Columbus, Ohio, more than three decades ago, is the premier residential design/build contractor in the city’s northern area. Owens’ founder and president, Bill Owens, CGR, (right) turned his curiosity, passion, and problem-solving skills into a booming business. He is a graduate of Miami University.
